Estimada Comunidad UC,

Les informamos que por  motivos de mantención y actualización de los datos que existen en el Observatorio de Ciudades la semana entre el 30 de abril y el 6 de mayo no se atenderán solicitudes. La respuesta y entrega de estas se realizarán desde el día 7 de mayo.

Se informa a la comunidad UC que desde julio se solicitará para la entrega de datos los siguientes requisitos

• Entregar el formulario de solicitud que se encuentra en la sección Catálogo con toda la información exigida y en formato Excel, no se recibirá otro formato ni formulario incompletos.
• Se deben hacer las solicitudes exclusivamente por medio del correo UC y enviadas solo a solicitudes.info@ocuc.cl.

También informar que el catalogo de datos se ha actualizado con todas las regiones.

Lamentamos informar a la Comunidad UC,  que entre los días 1 al 8 de abril de 2011, el Observatorio no entregará información, debido a mantención del servidor. Agradecemos su comprensión.

A partir del día 23 de marzo de 2011, el OCUC se encuentra entregando información a la comunidad UC. Para acceder a ella, debes descargar un formulario y enviarlo a solicitudes.info@ocuc.cl, el cual será respondido en un plazo máximo de dos días. Para mayor información visita la sección catálogo.

There is available, in the Download section, cartography of the city of Santiago related to diferent urban development topics, as  urban equipment, population and infrastructure.

It is reported that the start of the delivery information for students and teachers will begin on March 14.

From Monday april 26, will begin to run the new hours of atention. If you want any  information, you should complete a form at the  OCUC office , located in “El Comendador 1966, Providencia”. This information will be delivered on Monday and Wednesday, as follows:

A fundamental part of the OCUC’s institutional commitment is making available information and plans to students, researchers, and academics who require the use of our databases and maps for their projects and studies. To date, the OCUC has responded to more than 230 requests for information based in part on the available information in our catalog. Additionally, special requests have required both data production and analysis on the part of our team. These requests are specific and do not constitute the complete dissemination of available plans on the OCUC portal.

These information requests are registered in a request record where the obligations and duties of the applicants are monitored with respect to the use of the information. On the other hand, contact is maintained with them as a way to update our database with the results of the above studies, theses, and research, enriching and strengthening the availability of information.

In this way, the OCUC receives a direct contribution, totally free and of great value to the advancement of research and education, at the same time making available to citizens information relevant to decision-making with respect to land and cities.

There is available the hidrography of Santiago Metropolitan Region, in shapefile and DWG format. The information source correspond to a uprising made by GEOCEN and commissioned by the Metropolitan Quartermaster. See it, in the Download section.
